my goodness, i am getting bad at this blogging thing. i remember when i used to blog everyother day and now i'm lucky if i blog once a week. i guess the main reason for my not blogging is there hasn't been very much to say.

i am currently on a job hunt. if i can find a job, merc and ong have graciously offered me a place to live for the summer. though i was looking forward to going home for the summer, i think this would be a good opportunity and experience. so let's hope i get a job...every one needs to send me luck because we all know how unlucky i've been in finding a job the past few years.

every other thursday they play movies here on campus in the theatre and last night i went to see catch me if you can. it was a little different than i expected, but i still enjoyed it. it will probably wind up in my collection one of these years. i actually have a whole list going of movies i want to own...it's kind of long. and it goes to show that i *have* seen a lot of movies. i'm not *that* disgraceful of a film major.

hmm, i have no plans for the rest of the day and tomorrow i'm helping out merc and ong and sunday i am taking pictures for a project. looks like i'm gonna have a half way decent weekend, woooo. : )

music: metallica - nothing else matters

i am currently listening to this new band i discovered today. their name is maroon 5. now for those of you who are good at classifying music, i might screw this up, but to me, this band is soul/blues/alternative all in one. the lead singer has an awesome voice, kinda soulful and you can hear certian riffs in their music that sounds kind of blues-y, in my opinion. the song i'm stuck on is called harder to breathe. granted i've only heard 2 songs of theirs, but i am very impressed, or else i wouldn't be telling people to check them out. ; ) if ya do, let me know what you think...and let me know if my classification was accurate. : )

i am back after a week at home. it was nice being home as usual, but this time was even better because i got to hang out with my best friend more than i normally would. guess that is because she is not working right now, but still. i had good visits with her. i still can't believe she is getting married in 3 weeks. i have "hired" my friend monique to do my hair and makeup for my best friend's wedding, which is very nice of her because she also has to do her own. so i will be going back home on may 1st and i'll be back may 4th...and 3-4 weeks after that, school is out.

during the break i got fitted for my bridesmaid dress, which i don't think looks that bad considering my body type. my shoes are going to kill me though. i only stood there for about 5 min. getting pinned and my feet were hurting. after the fitting my best friend had her bridal shower, which was also fun. besides those things, i really didn't do much.

the last couple of days have been hectic. to keep a long story short, when i went home on the train on sunday evening, my bag got checked to the wrong place, so it was not in los angeles when i got there sunday night. went to lost and found, found out where it was and it was shipped to fullerton yesterday. so after phone calls and 2 trips to the train station provided by some great friends, i now have my bag and my clothes. and thanks to merc and ong who picked me up sunday night and gave me and took me to buy some toiletries so i could get through yesterday. (oh and thanks to ong again for the shopping yesterday). i really wasn't worried that i would never see my bag again, i was more worried about when i would see it. though i was royally pissed, i was relieved that i at least knew where my bag was. but yeah, that's over and done with and i am never checking my bag again...at least not on the return trip, which i will be doing again in about 3 weeks.

one of my suitemates went to hawaii for spring break and she brought back little gifts. she made little fishes out of palm tree leaves for us and she gave me a deck of cards. i thought that was so sweet. this is the third time someone has given me things from hawaii. i think it's about time i go, but of course that won't be anytime soon. : )
