Greetings from Tulare County

Hello everyone. :) My friend Monique was nice enough to let me use her computer so I could check my mail and stuff and while I was doing that, I thought I would update my blog.

I really hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was small, but good. I got some perfume, a food tray that has a Thomas Kinkade painting on it and some new Garfield slippers. :D They're really comfy and warm...which is nice cause it is freakin cold here...like mid 40s. *shiver*

I've been watching movies and today I went to the library and got two books...Dr. Phil's "Self Matters" and a book called "The Evening Star," which is a sequel to "Terms of Endearment," which is one of my favorite books and movies. So I am excited to start reading.

Well, I can't think of much else to say. I hope everyone is well and I will try to update this when I can. :)

Greetings from Merc and Ong's place. :) I am housesitting for the weekend. It is sooooo nice...this last week was a week from hell and it is nice to sit around and not have to worry about getting anything done. I'm liking it. :)

Not a whole lot went on this week. I felt really good about my finals. I got a 94 on my treatment and my production class loved my group's project. Despite the week from hell, it had good points too. Got an e-mail from financial aid and turns out the school got more grant money and was giving grants out to pay for tuition and I was one of them...so I got a refund of over $1200 for my tuition this semester and my tuition is paid for next semester. I am still shocked by that. That money definitely couldn't have come at a better time...I was desperately in need of it.

That's about all there is to update...hope everyone has a great weekend...last weekend before Christmas! ;)

A Favor

For those of you who still download music from the 'net, will you look up a song for me?? I am looking for Coldplay - 2000 Miles. It's a remake of a Pretenders song from the early 80s. I found it on Kazaa, but my school's network won't let me download from there. And I can't seem to find it on the program I normally use. I know some of you don't DL music anymore, but I thought I'd throw this out there....thanks! :)

Just Woke Up

Hello...thought I would write a little before I start my fun-filled day of studying. :)

I haven't been up to a whole lot. This week has been kind of busy, but kind of not. On Tuesday I went to see my first movie screening. It was so cool! It was for a movie called Thirteen going on Thirty and it stars Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo (he's really cute, but I don't think many people agree w/me). But it was really cool. The movie still had some editing and audio probs...and then ending was tenative. After it was over, we filled out questionnaires. I dunno, I really liked the movie. I can't wait to see it when it comes out next year.

This week is going to be so hectic. I have 4 finals: Monday night, Tuesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, and Thursday morning. My film project is due Thursday morning and I'm a little worried cause we still have one part to shoot and the person who said she'd do it is being flakey. She was supposed to call one of the group members after she set up the time to shoot and she never called...not even to say something came up (grrr), so yeah. Though said group member is very forgiving of her...cause he likes her so much. She just better not pull out now or I am going to be pissed. :) So, not counting the project, I have to study for 2 tests, one which we can bring an essay question already done to class. Then I have to watch a movie for my story structure class and bring an outline ready to write an essay about it. I've chosen Memento. So I need to watch that by Tuesday morning. Then I have a take home final for one class, which is a 5-6 page essay, which I have to turn in Thursday...along w/my film project. Needless to say I can't wait for this week to be over. :) Gotta love finals.

Wow. They captured Saddam Hussein. Never thought I'd see that happen.

Anyways, gotta go study...hope everyone is doing well. :)

Remember the rant I wrote a while back?

Seems that one of my theories is true. I was just told that I probably don't get offered dates because I am "conservative" and won't put out or do other sexual things. Do you know how much it hurts to hear that? How much it hurts to know that some silly, convoluted theory I had is probably true?

I think I give up. I am losing faith...in guys, in relationships(which sucks because I know there are good guys out there)...in everything.

I don't understand why it hurts so much...why being told that is making me cry.

I just...give up. I don't understand and I give up trying to understand.

Afternoon Update

Hello everyone. :)

Just thought I'd drop in and leave a few notes...

My cold hasn't gotten much worse. I'm mainly stuffy and once in a while I get sharp head pains. I've been taking medicine and vitamins, so hopefully this won't get any worse. On top of being sick, I was putting my hair up this morning and I got this huge pain in my back. It's actually my right, lower shoulder blade area. It has the biggest kink or knot or whatever and it hurts to move. :( What I wouldn't give for someone to rub my back right now. I'm not sure where it came from. Maybe I slept wrong or something...I did toss and turn all night last night.

Got a busy weekend ahead of me. I have class tomorrow, then I'm going to apply for a job at Disneyland (please wish me a lot of luck!), then at 4pm I'm meeting w/my group so we can film part of our project. Saturday, said group will be coming to my place so we can edit and Sunday we may film some more. I can't wait until this project is over. After tomorrow we'll almost be done (shooting that is), and it's due in 2 weeks, so I think we're doing good. Overall, we should have a good week to edit and get any pick ups we need.

I am tempted to try this audioblog thing. I probably won't because most of you who read this know what I sound like already, but maybe I will. *shrug* I think it's kind of cool, none the less.

And will someone please take away my bag of Chocolate Mint Hershey's Kisses???? ;)

Feelin' Hazy

I woke up this morning and decided that I am probably getting sick. My throat has been bothering me for a while and today I have that "getting sick" feeling. I also can't move my head very fast or I get dizzy. Being sick is not what I need right now. The next 3 weeks are going to be busy and I don't have time to deal w/getting sick. Hopefully I can fight it off.

So, how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Good I hope. Mine wasn't bad. It was nice to be home...I sure miss being there, well, sometimes I do. :) For the actual holiday, my parents and I went to their friend's house and had dinner, so my parents didn't cook anything, which meant no leftovers. :( It was still nice, though I wouldn't have minded staying home for the day. (Is 'minded' a word?)

Over break I also got to meet Law Man, which was really cool. :) Really good and nice guy. :) He's the 2nd person I've met, in person, through Merc and Ong. Kinda cool. :)

Um, let's see...not much else to say...it's Monday, I don't feel good, and I should get some work done. But I hope all is well w/everyone and I hope you all feel better than I do. ;)
