Home Sweet Cow Town, Home

It is nice to be home. I like seeing my parents, hanging out with my friends...well, only Monique so far, sleeping in my bed, seeing my kitty Winston (the other animals too)...and it just makes me sad that on Monday I have to turn around go back to the OC.

I came home and got 2 more Christmas gifts from my parents...one was a Blue's Clues Christmas ornament....for those who don't know, I was really into Blue's Clues back when Steve was on the show and I have many a merchandise to prove it. And they got me a James Dean watch which is freaking awesome. And they liked the gifts I got them, so that made me happy.

So, it seems the whole state of CA is getting drenched. Ickers. I hate the rain; it's fine if I'm inside but I hate going out in it. Oh and the Tsunami thing is so sad...almost unbelieveable. A nice reminder that there are much more powerful things than humans in the world.

No huge plans for New Year's. Monique is coming over and we will be drinking margaritas. I am not sure if I want to go all out and get drunk or just feel it really good...guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow. I'm just not up for going out on New Year's...too many crazies out there. Plus I'd probably have to be the DD and I wouldn't like that. ;)

OMG and speaking of New Year's...Monique and I were in Target, and there were these girls near us and one of them asked (and I am paraphrasing), "So, is New Year's Eve on Dec. 30th?" It was something like that and I just walked by and said "OMG" really loud. I mean, how stupid can you be. She was blonde too...makes us smart blondes look stupid.

Have a Happy New Year's everyone! Wish I had someone to kiss...

Shopping with Spaghetti and Champagne

So, I got my shoes..yay! They are black suede with gray markings and gray laces. Vans was having a buy one get one half off sale, but I said no...though when I checked out the cashier gave me a $20 off card for my next purchase of $50 or more in Feb., so I make take advantage of that. Most of the shoes there were $50, so $30 isn't too shabby. I also went clothing shopping...bought 2 shirts and some pj pants for like $22...gotta love the clearance racks. Then I went to Target and got some more stuff on clearance. The mall was pretty packed...but I was able to find a parking spot this time and I didn't almost get myself killed, so that is good.

No huge plans today...I started packing for my trip home last night, so I will finish that today and then go to work at 5. Ickers. Then I will come home at midnight and then get up around 4:30am to get ready to go home. My train leaves at 5:50am.

Yesterday my roommate and I decided to cook dinner. We made spaghetti, rolls, and breadsticks. It was some good stuff. Then we watched Old School and The Best of Mike Myers while drinking champagne. I had 2 glasses, though it was a martini glass and a big one at that. I was feeling it, but it wore off pretty quickly. Definite good times.

Hmm, I think I shall go find something to eat.

Post Christmas Post

Hey All! :)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was really fun. I went to Merc and Ong's and had a blast like I always do. ;) Ong made a VERY good dinner, they hooked up the old school NES and we played Super Mario and Tetris (I currently have the high score), I drove Merc's RC car which was fun, and we played a few games which was also fun. I just really enjoyed it, it was a very nice Christmas. :)

I'm so excited - I got my time off to go home...yay!! I can't wait. I am leaving the 29th and I'll be back on the 3rd. I really can't wait to see my parents and friends. I'm not gonna want to come back!

No big plans for the day... Merc and Ong gave me a $40 gift card to the Vans store, so I'm thinkin about getting me the pair of shoes I've been meaning to get for a while now...then I may go to Target and get a few odds and ends. Tonight I actually bought 3 pairs of Christmas socks...half off baby! Oh and I bought a bottle of champagne...only $5.49. Oh and I want to watch Friends...my parents got me the 8th Season for Christmas....now I just need 1 through 6. ;)

Okay, I think it is bed time. Sweet dreams to me.

December 21, 2004

Yesterday I thought I would go out and go shopping. Yeah, big mistake. It was crowded EVERYWHERE. Thus, I have decided that I am not going anywhere, unless it is to work, until after Christmas is over. It's crazy out there.

Last night was fun...my roommate's birthday is on the 27th and her boyfriend's is today, so a lot of us went out to dinner last night to celebrate and then came back to our place for cake and ice cream. It was good times. I had this chicken caesar salad for dinner. That was good stuff.

I should find out today if I got my time off to go home...I'm a little nervous to find out. If I don't get it, it will ruin my whole night. Sometimes I think it's odd that I am so concerned w/going home, because ya know, once I get a big girl job, I won't get to go home that often. I dunno, I'm just close with my parents and it's weird not seeing them. Plus my friends...it sucks not seeing them. I just really hope I get to go home. If not, I will be pissed, but also very, very sad. And in that case, I will probably turn right back around and put in for time off starting Jan. 23rd, since that's when our blackout dates are over.

No plans for the day...well, I need to do my dishes...and hand wash some stuff, but that's about it. Exciting huh? Yeah, don't you WISH you were me. Ha!

Retail + Christmas = HELL

Don't really need to talk about work - the title says it all.

This semester is officially over!!! Yay!! I'm so excited. It's going to be nice getting up tomorrow and not having to do anything. Nice stuff. Though, of course, everything can't be perfect because now I am sick. Well, not sick really. On Thursday there were this hideous winds here...like 45mph, with gusts of 60mph (per the weather person) and just being out in it for like 15 min, I got plugged up and now my sinuses are reeking havoc with me again. *sigh*

No plans for the weekend...well, I do plan on sleeping in. Work both days. *shudder* I'm looking forward to Monday because no work! I am also planning on finishing up my Christmas shopping and Monday night going out to dinner to celebrate my roommate's and her b/f's birthdays. Sounds like good times.

I got my screenplay back yesterday - I got a 96. :) That makes me proud. I worked hard on it. There are some things I need to tighten up though.

Well, I think I'm gonna go make me a 1am snack. ;) Take care everyone!

4 more days and it's over!!!!

I will try to do a full update today or tomorrow. I know you all miss my ramblings about nothing. :)

In Random News This Week...

I have been meaning to update this thing for days...

Things are going alright...school is almost over and I am realizing how much I need to get done, so I am starting to stress just a *little* bit. I know I can do it, if I make myself sit down an do work, which has been hard lately.

I still don't know when I am going home. Found out that the blackout dates for asking time off goes through Jan. 23rd. I can't figure out why to save my life. But I talked to the lady who does the schedule and she said she was going to try to accommodate a few people for their time off...meaning give the time off to "important" reasons. She said something like where you want to go visit family, there are people who just want off so they can go party. It kinda sounded like she considered my reason important, so maybe she'll give me the days. I really hope so. If not, I'll just have to go home the week before I start school, which kinda sucks.

Work is getting crazier and crazier by the day. On Monday, there was this lady in the store, walking around w/no shoes on...and she was going to every clothing department and just picking up clothes, didn't matter what they were, and just throwing them in a cart. When that cart got full, she would start a whole new cart. She filled up at least 4 carts of stuff. Kinda figured she wasn't all there or something, but you wouldn't believe the stuff we had to put away.

I'm happy - my parents mailed me my Christmas cds. :) I'm thinking about making a new one. I have one cd of songs I downloaded, but I made it a few years ago. I figure it is time to update.

Okay, I must go eat some breakfast and get started on my research paper. I plan on doing that ALL day. I must.
