Still Adrift

Speaking.

We finally got some internet hooked up in the apartment. It's AOL, but, hey, it's free. I tried once again to get my computer's modem working and I've discovered that my modem has drivers on it not compatible w/Windows 2000...at least that's what I understood, so I probably won't be using my computer for the internet anytime soon. Anyone want to donate to the "Amanda Wants a Lap Top Fund"? I know you do, so don't deny yourselves the pleasure of doing so, okay? Hopefully I'll be able to update more, as well.

I am trying to find a new/another job and I am having no luck. Figures. I am going to talk to human resources at work and find out if I had an open availability, if I'd be able to get more hours. I'd miss working with the people at night, but right now money is the name of the game. I think I'll be able to keep myself afloat through mid-July. After that I am not so sure. I think I planned for some things okay, but I could have done better. Coulda, woulda, shoulda I guess.

Internship is still going well. I'm getting used to the traffic and dealing with it. And because I missed a freeway on-ramp last week and driving out of my way, my dad made me go buy a map of Southern CA. You'd think I would have thought of that before, but I never really had to drive that far. I chalk it up as a learning experience. You got to get a little lost sometimes to find your way eventually, right?

I am very excited about the new 311 album. They still don't have a release date (as far as I know). I'm diggin the album cover and the album title. Looking forward to seeing the SoCal tour dates...though, in all honesty, I probably won't be able to afford to go. Seems that Paul will be my concert for the year.

I traveled to Ventura this last weekend for my friend's graduation party. I am definitely going back sometime so she can show me around...it looks like a very cute place. Right on the coast. I had a lot of fun and I had my first drink in a long time, which was nice.

Alright, I should go and do something? Not that I have a lot to do, but I don't think I have more to say. Take care everyone. :)
