Miss me?? I am sure you did.

I have officially taken my last final in college...yay!! It is a great feeling - it really is. Sure, I'll have to do things for my internship, but I am done. I have made it through alive and there were some points when I didn't think that was possible.

My roommate and I got our keys to our new apartment yesterday. I plan on moving a lot tonight and hopefully a lot tomorrow before my parents come in to town. It's so exciting to have our own apartment. It's my first home! I guess you could count the dorms, but the dorms didn't really seem completely independent. I can't wait to get all of our stuff in and decorated. My roommate's mom knows where we might be able to get a free couch, so that is cool. Her family is also giving us a coffee table, so at least our living room won't be too bare. I won't have my bed for a while, but hey, air mattresses are pretty comfy.

Is anyone else bummed that Carrie won American Idol and not Bo? I was really hoping he'd win. I liked him. It was so awesome when he sung Sweet Home Alabama w/Lynard Skynard...that kicked ass.

Today is my sister's birthday. I was going to get her a card, but it slipped my mind. Oh well...she rarely recognizes my birthday. Guess I could be the bigger person, but I'm kind of tired of it. Perhaps I will get her a belated card.

Alright, I should go pack some more. Take care all.

You know how I'm writing a Will & Grace script for my Sitcom writing class? Well, thanks to the Season Finale tonight, my script is completely irrelevant. In my script, Will gets a big case from his job...in the finale I find out he quit his job. In my script, Grace gets an offer to design an office building...in the finale, Grace gets an offer to design a hotel. In my script, Jack gets his own exercise show...in the finale, he gets his own talk show. So much for me having an original idea, huh? Oh well.

I went down today and signed all the paper work for our apartment. Next Wednesday we get the keys...yay! I'm looking forward to it, but at the same time, moving is such a pain.

I'm excited, my best friend and her husband might come down for my Graduation. That would be nice...I haven't seen her since, hmm...last March? So, over a year I think?

The acoustic song that Bo Bice sang for American Idol this week was freaking awesome. After a lot of research, I found out it was a song called "In a Dream" by a band called Badlands. It's a really beautiful song...with a definite gospel feel too it. Well, at least I think so.

Today was my last day of regular classes. Kinda sad, but cool. Tents and signs are starting to go up for graduation. Though, for some reason, it hasn't hit me yet. Perhaps next Saturday morning?

I am also looking forward to seeing my parents since I haven't seen them since January. I'm sure it'll be a nice vacation for them.

I think that is all.

Do I have to go to work tonight? We left 1 full z-rack and 8 full shopping carts of clothes. I tell you, Target was insane last night. Must be this warm, sunny weather. Good news though, I worked on two of my days off which made up some of my hours I was losing...bad news is that tonight will be day 5 out of 6 and I am beat.

Doggy sitting went well...plus I was able to watch Season 9 of Friends. I also made Chile Verde...which, is not hard by any means, but hey, I still cooked something.

I got my hair cut on Saturday. I think this lady cut it a little differently than the last. It is still layered, but the layers seem different...more of the shaggy kind of cut, if anyone knows what I'm talking about. All I know is that it doesn't look that good when I put it up, only when I wear it down. *shrug* Then again, I might just be hallucinating.

You all missed me didn't you? Well, no fear, here is a new post... ;)

I am reporting from Merc and Ong's. I am doggy sitting this weekend...yay! I love doggy sitting. It's a nice change of scenery, plus I love their dog...she's such a sweetheart. I will be here until Sunday.

Good news!!! My roommate and I officially got the apartment!! So, we will be moving in starting on the 25th of this month...I'm so excited! One less thing to worry about. :)

Only one more week of school and then finals. Craziness. This semester has gone by so quickly. Actually this month is flying by. This week did too. All of the sudden it is Friday. Not sure what happened to the rest of this week.

I walked out of my American Film class on Wednesday night and it was so beautiful outside. It was kind of breezy, the sun was out and the sky was clear. I started to look at my surroundings...the school, the people, and for the first time I realized what a great experience going to college was. And how even though I constantly complain about school, I know I will miss it and cherish it. I realized how lucky I was to have been here. I probably didn't live it up as much as I could have, but I really did enjoy it. Ever since I've been out of high school, I've been wondering who I am and what my place is and while I still don't quite know the answer to those questions, I can take comfort in the fact that I have learned a lot about myself in the 3 years that I've been here. I have done and accomplished things I never thought I had the courage or confidence to do and I am proud of myself for that. While whatever comes next in life will probably be a challenge, I think I will be fine. I thought about all of this after my class and during my walk home. You can probably blame the movie American Beauty. Never in the times I've watched it or read the script, did it speak to me as much as it did on Wednesday night. It really is an amazing movie.

Hmm, kinda went off on a tangent. Anyways...I am tired, it was been a long night. I hope everyone is doing well. :)

Lots of stuff has been goin on...

My roommate and I put in an application for an apartment today. It's one bedroom, all utilities paid except for electricity, and 600 sqft...a nice place for $895 a month. I'm really excited, I sure hope we get it...because we'd be able to move in on the date that we want and it's across the street from the school, so we wouldn't have to move that far. Now, I just need to figure out how to get my stuff from home to here.

I got woken up at 2:30am by thunder and lightning. Thunder I don't mind, but for some reason lighting freaks me out. So, I tired to close my eyes and ignore it...but it didn't work very well since my room would just flash with light every few minutes. And at some point during the night, the power went off and came back on.

Thanks to the wonderful work of Merc and Ong, I have my graduation announcements. I want to try to get those done and sent out this weekend. Only 2 more weeks of regular school and then finals. *gulp* This month is already flying by.

I think I've worked out my hours for my internship...Thurs/Fri. from 9:30am - 6:30pm. I will need to have Fridays off from work, which I am sure the Human Resources lady wouldn't like, but it is school related and my diploma depends on it.

Got my oil changed yesterday all by myself. The place I went to gives you a free car wash. Not only do they wash your car, they clean the inside and vacuum it. It's nice. Though, it rained after I came back. So, that figures. I thought I had missed the rain.

Hmm...anything else?? Oh, Merc and Ong are great friends. Really. But I'm sure most of you who read this know already. ;)

Happy Friday!
