My Mom

My mom has been having some health problems lately...

It started with her ear being a little sore, along w/the back of her head. After letting it go for a while (we were dealing w/my grandma's passing at the time), she finally went to the doctor. He said she had an ear infection, possibly from tearing up the tile in our kitchen. The doctor gave her some ear drops and antibiotics, but she is still having problems. Every few days she gets this massive headaches in the back of her head, behind the ear that is infected...she also gets dizzy. The headaches only come at night and have often caused her to wake up in the middle of the night. She went back to the doctor and he put her back on antibiotics and also ran blood tests on her because he was thinking the tiredness/weakness/dizziness could be from diabetes. Turns out, she is a diabetic, which can account for the tiredness and weakness, but the diabetes and the massive headaches seem to be unrelated. She goes to a specialist this next week, so hopefully he will have some answers for her.

This really has me freaked out. I know ear infections can really mess with your equilibrium and everything like that, but according to the doctor, her ear has cleared up, but she is still having these headaches. So many things keep running through my mind, the main one being some sort of cancer or tumor...which, I guess would be the same thing. I know I'm not a doctor, but it just doesn't seem to make sense to me. Luckily, I have been busy with moving, so I haven't had much time to really dwell on it, which is probably a good thing. I just hope everything is okay and it is nothing serious. I hope, I hope, I hope...
