Numbers

This might sound odd, but I think I have a "thing" with numbers.

As far as memory goes, I have always been very good with numbers. I can give you license plate numbers from my car, my old car, my parent's old cars, Merc's car, my sister's car, etc. I am also very good with birth dates and ages. Ironically, I would say that I am not good w/money. Sit me at a table in a restaurant with 4 other people and each of us trying to pay our part, and I will completely blank. Same thing when giving change to a customer, I always have the calculator program minimized on the computer so I can figure out how much change to give.

Another thing that is kind of freaky: whenever I am at work and I need to count out pills, I almost always, I would say 90% of the time, pour out just the exact amount I need from the bottle...and the other 10%, I am very close. Maybe off by 1-5 pills. Also, at work, we have these "drop-off" forms that clients fill out when dropping off their pets. We have to staple another form to those forms. By default, I always print out 20 of these other forms in which to staple to the drop off forms. The drop off forms come in pads of 50 I believe, and again, 90% of the time, there are just enough drop off forms left on the pad to match the 20 other forms I have printed.

Coincidentally, I am also good with names. People at work have called me at home or asked me throughout the day what a pet's name was, what a client's name was or what exam room they were in. And many clients at work are very shocked that I able to remember them.

Now, I'm not saying I have any sort of sixth sense with names and numbers...and I am not trying to brag or anything, but I just think it's interesting.
